Nuts and sleeves are essential components used in various fluid systems and mechanical assemblies to create secure connections between tubing and fittings. Nuts, typically made of metal such as brass, stainless steel, or carbon steel, are threaded fasteners that are used to secure fittings onto tubing or other components. They are designed to be tightened onto the fitting, compressing the sleeve onto the tubing to create a leak-tight seal. Nuts come in various sizes and thread configurations to match the specifications of the fittings and tubing being used. Sleeves, also known as ferrules, are cylindrical metal or plastic inserts that are placed onto the end of tubing before it is inserted into a fitting. The sleeve serves to reinforce the tubing and provide a compression point when the nut is tightened onto the fitting. This compression creates a secure seal between the tubing and the fitting, preventing leaks.
