Non Return Valves

Non-return valves, also known as check valves or one-way valves, are essential components used in piping systems to allow fluid or gas to flow in one direction only. These valves automatically prevent backflow, ensuring that the fluid or gas can only travel in the desired direction while blocking reverse flow. The design of non-return valves typically consists of a movable mechanism, such as a disc, ball, or flap, that allows flow in the forward direction but prevents flow in the reverse direction. When the fluid or gas flows in the desired direction, the pressure of the flow pushes the mechanism open, allowing passage. However, if there is any attempt at backflow, the mechanism closes, blocking the flow and preventing reverse movement.
