Cock Valves

“Cock valves” is a colloquial term often used to refer to quarter-turn valves with a cylindrical or conical plug that regulates the flow of fluids by rotating the plug. These valves are commonly known as “ball valves” due to the spherical shape of the plug, which resembles a ball. However, they can also be referred to simply as “cock valves” in certain contexts. They consist of a hollow, perforated, and pivoting ball (the plug) within a valve body with a bore.
